I went out last night for a shopping spree with my sister-in-law and a girlfriend. We went to New Jyuejiang Shopping Area in Kaohisung. This shopping area is known for its trendy apparel items, unique products, and many food vendors.

We went out for lunch with my aunt and my cousin. We had our lunch at one of the restaurants in Dream Mall. I ordered a small hot pot set, and my mother ordered a “sizzling chicken hot plate” set. The food was great! I forgot to bring along my camera, so I used my cousin’s cell phone to take some quick shots.

Dream Mall is one of the new big scale shopping malls built in Kaohsiung in the recent years. It also includes a small amusement park, and lots of restaurants and food vendors.

One of the purposes of this trip is to spend some time with my family, especially my nephews. They have grown so much since the last time I saw them. They start to talk more and are able to carry on simple conversations. My older nephew has also learned some new tricks, one of which is to pose for camera with his one hand under his chin. My sister-in-law said that he learned it from watching one of the kids’ TV shows.
